Breaking: Iran Just Destroyed A U.S Submarine.

Breaking: Iran just destroyed a U.S. submarine?

Iranian accounts report that a U.S submarine was struck and destroyed by Iran forces and backed this claim with Ai images of a destroyed submarine.

This is 100% fake news and disinformation spreading on social media.

The dramatic images and claims about Iran sinking a U.S. Navy submarine in the Persian Gulf (or anywhere) are completely fabricated.

Here are the facts:No U.S. submarine has been lost, damaged, or attacked by Iran recently.

The opposite is true: In March 2026, a U.S. fast-attack submarine (USS Charlotte) successfully torpedoed and sank the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena  the first U.S. submarine torpedo sinking of an enemy warship since World War II.

U.S. forces destroyed or disabled multiple Iranian naval assets (frigates, patrol boats, and even a Kilo-class submarine) during recent operations. Zero U.S. submarines were harmed.

These viral "breaking news" graphics with stormy seas and flags are AI-generated memes designed to mislead people.

Always verify sensational claims with reliable sources like the U.S. Department of Defense, Reuters, or AP News before sharing.
